Great sail from Oban, strong tides all the way. The gulf of Corryvechan. Only the foolhardy enter. The photo doesn't do justice to this weird looking mountain on Jura. It looks like it's been painted by numbers.

Monday 25th July. Oban. Waiting for the wind to drop.

Image
The view from the Wetherspoon pub in Oban.

Sunday 24th July heavy heavy rain.

Too much wind in the forecast so I'll stay another night.

Friday 22nd July - Seil anchorage.

Image
Not a breath of wind so I'll stay here for another day. This was from yesterday on the passage here. There's a nice pub nearby and this is next to it.

Strong headwinds on Loch Ness. I've decided to anchor in the shelter of this headland by Urquhart castle until it calms down a bit.

8th July. Going up through the locks at Muirtown.

Image
Bad photo but it's the only one I took. Dochnagaroch. I got exactly the same parking space as last year.

The wind is howling and there is no change on the horizon.

Sunday 3rd July. Still in Nairn.

Stephan and Andrea flew home this morning and now the heavens have opened. I might be here for a while, no point in rushing to go further north until I get a better forecast for going over the top.

Friday 1st July. Nairn.

We went to a ceilidh last night.
