Wednesday 15th June. Grimsby to Filey anchorage.

Said goodbye to Carmel and Cleo at 5.45.
Flamborough Head. Guillemots everywhere. Razorbills, gannets, kittiwakes and some puffins too.
I probably took a picture of this last year. A geologists delight.
Filey bay. Anchor away!

  1. Well, found out what put a Capital 'G' in the 'Grim'; a sad old town, full of numerous historical maritime buildings gently rotting away. If they were in London or down 'south' I'm sue they would have been revived in a nanosecond.

Watching Tom Cruise in 'Maverick' only added to the impression of things well past their prime!

Happy to have visited but canna see myself ever wanting to return.

  2. The lighthouse alone was worth it! Wonderful photo, thanks Brendan.
